Person Directed Planning

Person Directed Planning can help a person, and/or their support network, to develop a “personal life plan.” This can include developing a personal vision, and identifying different dreams and goals that a person would like to achieve. Person-directed planning can involve a person’s family, friends, support staff, and other people who are important to them.

Passport/Direct Funding allows someone to get help with developing a person-directed plan that builds on their strengths and interests, and identifies the supports needed to achieve their goals. People can use up to $2500 of their total Passport funding for these expenses.

For more information on person-directed planning, please check out the Ministry of Community and Social Services website.
